Web design
Clear layouts, readable type and interfaces that work on any screen. We start from content, not from templates.
Websites built to last.
NID is a small independent studio in Rotterdam. We design, build and maintain websites for European businesses — quietly, carefully and without unnecessary complexity.
What we do
Development
Static sites, small web applications and integrations. Modern tooling, sensible dependencies, no frameworks unless they earn their place.
Support
Updates, monitoring and small improvements after launch. Most of our clients have been with us for more than four years.
How we work
- Conversation. We talk about what the site has to do and who it is for.
- Design. A small number of layouts, refined until they fit.
- Build. Clean markup, tested across browsers and devices.
- Handover. Documentation, access and a maintenance plan that suits you.
About the studio
NID is run by two people — a designer and a developer — from a shared office near the Westersingel. We keep the number of projects small so that every one of them gets proper attention.
We work in English and Dutch, and occasionally in German. Our clients are museums, publishers, architects and small manufacturers.
